Playing Catch Up!

Life for us has been crazy lately so I haven't kept up well on my blogs, but I thought I would just do a quick one on what we have been up to lately.

We had the privilege of welcoming home our neighbors adopted baby girl, Lili Grace. They have been waiting to adopt for over a year or so and after some ups and downs they finally were able to take her home from the hospital. She was having some health difficulties but now seems to be thriving and doing great. We are blessed to have them as friends and we are thrilled that they now have the daughter they have always wanted.

A couple week back I was excited my friend Mere asked me to take her little boy's newborn baby pictures. Here is a couple of the pictures of Gibson Geurink that I took - isn't he such a doll?

Ella has been spending some good quality time with her cousin Lily...they are becoming fast friends. Since they have a 6 month age gap there can sometimes be some fussing involved because they are at different stages but lately they are having much more fun together:)

We went to the Critter Barn a couple of weeks back when it was cold but super sunny and beautiful out. They weren't technically open but they were very sweet and let us look at all the animals and even took some out for us to pet. Ella loved it...she was a bit "sheepish" at times when the big animals got too close but she loved to look at them. I can't wait to go back sometime when the weather in nicer. It was a fun way to spend quality family time together - I highly recommend it!

We are currently in the process of moving. Since we have been busy packing up, Ella seems to think she needs to be a big helper:)

Last weekend I had the pleasure of throwing my friend Julie a baby shower along with the other girls. We celebrated at Olive Garden and had a great girls night out. Usually when we are all together we are on mommy duty so it was great to talk and laugh and catch up without any interruptions:) Julie is expecting a baby boy and is due mid March along with Lindsey...we can't wait for those little ones to be born! (Lindsey, Jamie, Kishon, Mere, Jill, & Julie)

Here is us three on Valentines Day...I felt very blessed to have these two as my Valentines!
This past Thursday we finally closed on our current home as well as on our new home. We are so happy to be done with the whole process and excited to move in. We got the keys to our new place on Saturday afternoon and we have to be out of our old house by this Tuesday so it is a bit crazy around here but we are really happy with how it is all going. We want to do a little shout out to our friend and realtor Jim Thrower (Visser Real Estate - a little plug for them:) for being so great and getting our house sold - thanks buddy! I will post some pictures of our new house when we get settled a bit (who knows when that might be;)
